WHAT:

The 2011 Hurley Walk The Walk National Championship will take place on August 4, 2011 at the Nike U.S. Open of Surfing, the summer’s biggest youth culture festival. Described as “Friday Night Lights meets Project Runway,” Walk The Walk, the world’s largest high school fashion competition, will be hosted by actress, singer and style icon Vanessa Hudgens and film and television star Tristan Wilds, who will both also serve as guest judges. A special performance by The Sounds will follow.

As previously announced: Corona del Mar, Grossmont, Kellam, Peterborough Collegiate & Vocational and Toms River East high schools will compete for the 2011 Walk The Walk title. The competition is presented by Hurley, Nike 6.0, SkullCandy and Invisalign Teen.
